Winner - Mills & Boon New Voices 2010

Even writing this blog post title is surreal. How did this happen again?

I won't write much now... still too tired, too shocked, too euphoric and too terrified (ohmygod what if the rest of the book is rubbish and they decide not to publish it!) to even attempt it.

But I did want to say a huge big massive THANK YOU to everyone who entered the competition. There were so many talented writers who entered - Heidi, Lindsay and Carrie from the top 4 included, but also all the lovely ladies who read this blog - and without you there would have been no New Voices.

Thank you also to everyone who took the time to read my entry, to comment and to vote. You have quite literally made my dream come true. Thank you.

  1. I'm not on FB or blogging much this month because of NaNo, but I wanted to drop by and congratulate you. The NV competition was filled with excellent writers and warm wonderful people who offered encouragements and critiques. I feel really lucky to have taken part in it. It is the thing that really made me determined to take myself a little bit more seriously as a writer.
I wish you the very best of luck in what comes next.

  8. Julie - Yep, I reckon taking yourself seriously as a writer is such an important step to make. I've been "writing" for about 5 years, but it's only in the last 18 months that I've gotten my act together!

Jackie - Haha! Although I did specify an actual phone call in that dress, not a Facebook status update ;) But, I'm not complaining :)

Susan and Sally - Thank you!!!!

Rach - You have been just gorgeous throughout all of this - thank you :) Don't worry, you're next!

Elissa - Oooh, I like the idea of squillions of books! Just need to get number 1 finished first :)

Lacey - I'm sure your buttons helped!!!! Thanks for your support :)
